Safety Officer -
Each Safety Officer in addition to the General Requirements hereto, must:-
k. Have a minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of Fire, Health & Safety of which 3 years must have been in the Oil & Gas or equivalent Industry with specific

Experience In The Following
  • Carrying out site inspections and conduct health & safety audits.
  • Advise the Company regarding the site health & safety issues.
l. Have NEBOSH National/International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety qualification.
m. Be fully conversant with the Company’s Guide to Safety.
n. Be knowledgeable of the Company’s Safe Work Permit (SWP) system.
o. Be able to identify potential hazards at each work site, assess risk and provide the Company with Hazard and Risk assessment document indicating the Contractor’s Risk Management Plans.
p. Be able to collect, record and analyze Contractor’s Safety violations and accident statistics.
q. Participate and lead incident investigations.
r. Be able to conduct Tool Box talks.
s. Be fluent in read, write and converse in English.
t. Be competent in a skilled trade and be able to pass the appropriate Trade Test.

Academic QualificationThe Contractor’s Safety Officer should hold a minimum of U.K. National Education Board in
Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) Certificate or equivalent. The Safety Officer should
have good command of spoken and written English and the ability to communicate and deliver
Health & Safety presentations.
In addition he must also have an acceptable knowledge in PC applications and able to utilize them
for recording of accidents and report writing.

Experience
Safety Officers must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of Fire, Health &
Safety, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry or Petrochemical Industry. The Safety Officer must
