Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the activities of HSE staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives.
- Manage evaluation of department processes, methods and activities to assure the most effective use of resources.
- Manage department budget and expenditures.
- Develop and assist in integrating new HSE measurements (leading and lagging indicators) that clearly articulate the region performance.
- Manage audit process to ensure HSE MS meets NOV and customer compliance.
- Develop and maintain positive, proactive relationships with relevant internal / external contacts to ensure HSE and operations requirements are harmonized.
- Ensure continuous improvement with regards to HSE.
- Manage the HSE systems and processes to ensure identified corrective actions are effectively implemented and lessons learned communicated within the organization.
- Present industry Best Management Practices and new technologies for leadership review.
- Participate in action plans for new projects defined by organization.
- Implement HSE programs/procedures and communicate with all levels of the organization to elevate the involvement and status of those programs / procedures.
- Correlate monthly reports on accomplishments, gaps, and improvement plan progress.
- Observe HSE regulations, encourages safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
- Perform other work-related tasks as required and as assigned.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Graduate IOSH Membership).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Essential)
- Oil industry background and engineering background. Advanced degree preferred. (Desirable)
